A SEMINAR ON “BRIDGING THE GAP: PROMOTING GENDER

EQUALITY”

A seminar on “Bridging the Gap: Promoting Gender Equality” was organized by Women Development
Cell and Internal Complaint Committee, Gujarat University, on Friday 6th October 2023 at 11:00 AM. The
seminar was held at Department of computer science, Gujarat University. The event started with
university song.

The invited speaker was Prf. (Dr.) Anjani Singh Tomar Head, Academic Affairs and Professor of Law,
Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. Approximately 100 students and 10 faculty members
attended the session.

ICC chairperson Prof Dr. Jyoti Pareek gave the
welcome address. This was followed by the talk,
where Anjani madam emphasized on the need on
gender equality. She said that society should not
be gender biased. One should do the tasks based
on his/her capability and not based on gender.
The session was then followed by question answer
session.

After the session the speaker was felicitated with a
token of appreciation by Dr. Prachi Motiyani.
Formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Prachi
Motiyani . The event was gracefully anchored by
master of ceremony Dr. Maitri Jhaveri.
