GLOBAL WELCOME: OCTOBER'S

INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION WEEK"

In the month of October, the third week was celebrated as orientation week for 150+ newly
admitted foreign students from more than 45+ countries organised by The School of
International Studies and Diaspora. A series of events were organised to welcome the new
students during this period.

Orientation Lecture by Deepan Bhadran, DIG ATS & RJ Harshil welcoming the new batch of
foreign students to Gujarat University, India
Campus tour: International Students visited different departments of Gujarat University
such as, Gujarat University Library, GUSEC, Atal- Kalam among others.
Lecture Series on Introduction to Indian Culture, Health and hygiene, Food and
Nutrition,Communication skills

AWARENESS OF KHADI: VOCAL FOR LOCAL

AND AATMANIRBHAR BHARAT

The School of International Studies

and Diaspora, Gujarat University

has collaborated on a workshop
titled, “Awareness of Khadi: Vocal

for Local and Aatmanirbhar

Bharat” with Khadi and Village

Industries Commission (KVIC),
Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium

Enterprises….

Students witnessed and engaged with stories of Indian resilience and creativity, such as
spinning the Charkha and pottery making which were among the other highlights of the
workshop.
